SPORTS TRAINING AT
THE CENTER FOR HUMAN PERFORMANCE
Building a better athlete begins with a skilled analysis
of how the athlete moves within his or her sport. At the Center
for Human Performance, we assess athletes using the
FEAD Movement Analysis System™. The
FEAD System analyzes the following phases:
First
Step
Athletic movement begins with the first step or change-of-direction.
This needs to be quick and efficient.
Explosion
The athlete should explode into acceleration with as much power
as possible.
Acceleration
Acceleration needs to occur rapidly, with mechanics that allow the
athlete to beat even those opponents who may have a greater overall
top speed.
Deceleration
Slowing down into the next first step should occur over the shortest
distance possible allowing a quicker first step
Each element
of the FEAD
Movement Analysis System™
feeds the next.
At the Center
for Human Performance,
we can objectively assess these areas to improve arm, leg and trunk
mechanics through all phases of athletic movement to create a faster,
more explosive athlete.
Training involves
not only correcting the mechanics of athletic movement, but also
improving the ABCD's of the FEAD System.
Absolute
Strength
Balance
Core Coordination
Dynamic Flexibility
Whether you
are an athlete looking to improve performance, or a sports medicine
patient looking to get back on the field, the FEAD
Movement Analysis System™ and the ABCD's are an integral
part of our approach to your success.
